Overview
Centred Living Care & Support is looking for compassionate and resilient Support Workers to join our specialist residential service in Newham, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. You will provide personalised, person-centred care, enabling individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in a small, supportive 3-bed home.
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care, emotional support, and encouragement in line with individual support plans.
- Support residents in developing life skills, independence, and community participation.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to promote wellbeing and reduce risks.
- Assist with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe, homely environment.
- Accurately record care notes and contribute to reviews and care planning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Participate in activities and outings that promote inclusion, confidence, and fulfilment.
- Uphold safeguarding, equality, and confidentiality standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care or support work (preferred but not essential – full training provided).
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety responsibilities.
Desirable skills
- Training or experience in PBS or Positive Behaviour Management.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join Centred Living Care & Support in Newham. In this role, you will lead by example, support colleagues, and ensure our residents receive outstanding, person-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge in a positive, safe, and structured environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support for residents, promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.
- Lead and mentor support staff, ensuring best practice and adherence to care plans.
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised support plans and risk assessments.
- Implement and model PBS strategies and PBM approaches.
- Take responsibility for shift leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Work closely with families, commissioners, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Accurately record incidents, progress notes, and contribute to quality audits.
- Support the Registered Manager in maintaining compliance with CQC standards.
Requirements

Centred Living Care & Support in Newham is seeking self-employed professionals to join our specialist Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on a retainer and ad-hoc basis. We support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge, and we are committed to providing person-centred, evidence-based care. We are looking for skilled clinicians and trainers to strengthen our Positive Behaviour Support and complex care pathways.
Roles available
- Occupational Therapist – to assess and promote independence in daily living skills, recommending equipment and tailored interventions.
- Speech & Language Therapist (SALT) – to develop communication strategies, conduct assessments, and support residents with speech, language, and social communication needs.
- Positive Behaviour Management (PBM) Trainer – to deliver accredited PBM training to staff and mentor the team in proactive behaviour support.
- Clinical Psychologist – to provide functional assessments, therapeutic input, and guidance on reducing distress and supporting psychological wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments and reports for residents with complex needs.
- Develop tailored intervention plans that inform daily support and staff practice.
- Deliver training, mentoring, or workshops to staff teams.
- Participate in reviews, MDT meetings, and case discussions when required.
- Contribute to a positive, person-centred culture of care within the service.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification and registration (e.g. HCPC, RCSLT, BPS).
- Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge.
- Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
- Availability for ad-hoc work under a retainer contract.
- Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and positive outcomes.
